Mrs. Melville is very happy to be working with the students and faculty of Peacham Elementary School. As a school library media specialist her goal is to continue building the students' love of reading and help them gain necessary information literacy and research skills. The library curriculum is designed around the American School Library Association's Standards for the 21st Century Learner. Please feel free to explore this important document. Another essential part of the library is the annual DCFandRed Clover award books. Mrs. Melville is attending the University of Vermont and anticipates receiving a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction by December 2011. She received a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education in 2000 from Weber State University in Ogden, UT. With her husband they relocated to Vermont in 2002 and reside in St. Johnsbury with their five great kids. Library Students 2011-2012Ms. Parker's 3 year old preschool class threw together a digital story in about 20 minutes. Here is the result (Turn UP the volume on our computer and on the story). . . |
